WATER ABSORBER FOR

Tank Snakes are Water Absorbers for Diesel or Paraffin and specifically designed to remove water in a very efficient manner. The Snakes have a Hygroscopic Gel inside which attracts water and holds on to it. The Snakes come in various types and sizes for different applications. Water gets into diesel in many different ways and is extremely problematic and destructive if not removed swiftly. Most commonly the water comes from condensate occurring in the tank or storage vessel when there is a change in temperature. This could be between day and night or during operation of the diesel engine which increases the fuel temperature. Now the everlasting problem of water in your diesel or paraffin can be dealt with.

Once water is in the tank (even in small amounts) after a few days “Diesel Algae”, “Diesel Sludge” or “Diesel Bug” a type of Bacteria starts to grow. If not eliminated the “Diesel Algae” will continue to multiply so when the equipment needs to run it will be sucked into the fuel filters causing it to block and prevent the engine from running. This Bactria also feeds off the additive package which can effect engine performance. Water also corrodes steel tanks from the inside causing the fuel filters to be over loaded.
